You have the right to do your work, but you never have a claim to the results of what you do. Do not act just to get a specific reward, but do not let yourself fall into laziness either.
"Do the work that is yours to do, because action is always better than doing nothing. If you completely stopped working, you couldn't even keep your own body alive."
"Therefore, always do what needs to be done without obsessing over the outcome. By acting with a detached and open heart, you will eventually reach the highest state of being."
"Whatever a respected leader does, everyday people will naturally imitate. The standard they set by their actions becomes the rule that the rest of the world follows."
"It is much better to do your own life's work, even if you make mistakes, than to perfectly copy someone else's path. It is better to fail at your own true calling, because trying to be someone you aren't is deeply dangerous."
You can achieve perfection by doing your own natural work as an act of worship to the Divine. It is from this Supreme source that all beings arise, and by this same presence that the entire universe is woven together.
It is better to do your own work imperfectly than to flawlessly execute someone else's path. When you act in harmony with your own inherent nature, you do not incur any negative karma.
