In Chapter 7, Krishna reveals the ultimate truth about His divine nature, explaining that He is the source and essence of everything in the universe. He describes His two energies: the lower material energy, comprising the physical elements and mind, and the higher spiritual energy, which includes all living souls. Krishna is the taste in water, the light of the sun, and the eternal seed of all beings. While many are distracted by material illusions and worship lesser deities for temporary gains, four types of pious people seek Him. Among them, the wise who worship Him with single-minded devotion are the most dear. By surrendering completely to Krishna, one can overcome the powerful illusions of the material world and attain eternal liberation.

- 7.1 मय्यासक्तमनाः पार्थ योगं युञ्जन्मदाश्रयःArjuna, listen to how you can know me completely and without a single doubt. You will achieve this by practicing yoga with your mind fully attached to me, making me your ultimate refuge.अर्जुन, सुनो कि तुम मुझे बिना किसी शक के पूरी तरह कैसे जान सकते हो। जब तुम अपना मन मुझमें लगाकर और मुझे ही अपना आसरा मानकर योग का अभ्यास करोगे, तो तुम मुझे जान लोगे।
- 7.2 ज्ञानं तेऽहं सविज्ञानमिदं वक्ष्याम्यशेषतःI will teach you everything about this spiritual wisdom and how to experience it directly. Once you grasp this, there will be absolutely nothing left in this world for you to learn.मैं तुम्हें इस आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान और इसे खुद अनुभव करने के तरीके के बारे में सब कुछ बताऊंगा। इसे अच्छी तरह समझ लेने के बाद, इस दुनिया में तुम्हारे लिए कुछ भी जानना बाकी नहीं रहेगा।
- 7.3 मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्िचद्यतति सिद्धयेOut of thousands of people, only a rare few make a real effort to achieve spiritual perfection. Even among those who try and succeed, it is incredibly rare to find someone who truly understands my true nature.हजारों लोगों में से कोई एक ही आध्यात्मिक सफलता पाने की सच्ची कोशिश करता है। और जो लोग कोशिश करके सफल हो भी जाते हैं, उनमें से भी कोई विरला ही मेरी असलियत को सच में समझ पाता है।
- 7.4 भूमिरापोऽनलो वायुः खं मनो बुद्धिरेव चMy material energy is divided into eight basic parts. These are earth, water, fire, air, space, the mind, the intellect, and the ego.पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु, आकाश, मन, बुद्धि और अहंकार—इन आठ हिस्सों में मेरी भौतिक प्रकृति बंटी हुई है।
- 7.5 अपरेयमितस्त्वन्यां प्रकृतिं विद्धि मे पराम्Arjuna, beyond that lower physical nature is my higher spiritual energy. This higher energy is made up of the conscious, living souls that actually sustain the entire universe.अर्जुन, इस भौतिक प्रकृति से परे मेरी एक और श्रेष्ठ आध्यात्मिक शक्ति है। यह श्रेष्ठ शक्ति उन चेतन जीवों से बनी है, जिनके सहारे यह पूरी दुनिया टिकी हुई है।
- 7.6 एतद्योनीनि भूतानि सर्वाणीत्युपधारयUnderstand that every living being is created from a combination of these two energies. I am the ultimate source from which the entire universe is born, and I am also the place where it dissolves.यह समझ लो कि दुनिया के सभी जीव मेरी इन्हीं दोनों शक्तियों से पैदा होते हैं। मैं ही इस पूरे ब्रह्मांड के बनने की असली वजह हूँ और मुझमें ही यह सब कुछ मिट जाता है।
- 7.7 मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जयArjuna, there is absolutely no truth higher than me. Everything in existence is woven around me, just like pearls strung together on a single thread.अर्जुन, मुझसे बढ़कर कोई दूसरा सच नहीं है। इस दुनिया की हर एक चीज़ मुझ पर ही टिकी है, बिल्कुल वैसे ही जैसे एक धागे में बहुत सारे मोती पिरोए रहते हैं।
- 7.8 रसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोःArjuna, I am the fresh taste in water and the radiant light of the sun and moon. I am the sacred syllable Om in the ancient scriptures, the sound echoing in space, and the natural ability within all people.अर्जुन, मैं पानी का स्वाद और सूरज-चाँद की रोशनी हूँ। मैं वेदों का पवित्र शब्द 'ओम', आकाश में गूंजने वाली आवाज और इंसानों के भीतर की काबलियत हूँ।
- 7.9 पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्यां च तेजश्चास्मि विभावसौI am the pure, sweet fragrance of the earth and the glowing heat of fire. I am the very life force breathing in all creatures, and the deep focus of those who practice spiritual discipline.मैं मिट्टी की सोंधी महक और आग की गर्माहट हूँ। मैं ही सभी जीवों की जीवन शक्ति हूँ और तपस्या करने वालों का तप भी मैं ही हूँ।
- 7.10 बीजं मां सर्वभूतानां विद्धि पार्थ सनातनम्Arjuna, recognize me as the original, eternal seed of all living things. I am the intelligence of the wise and the brilliance of those who shine with greatness.अर्जुन, मुझे ही सभी जीवों का मूल और हमेशा रहने वाला बीज समझो। मैं समझदार लोगों की समझ और महान लोगों की चमक हूँ।
- 7.11 बलं बलवतां चाहं कामरागविवर्जितम्I am the strength of the strong, completely free from selfish passion and greed. Arjuna, I am also the healthy desire within people that aligns with dharma, or natural righteousness.मैं ताकतवर लोगों की वह ताकत हूँ जिसमें कोई लालच या स्वार्थ नहीं होता। अर्जुन, इंसानों के भीतर उठने वाली वह इच्छा भी मैं ही हूँ, जो धर्म के खिलाफ नहीं होती।
- 7.12 ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च येEvery state of existence—whether it is clarity, restless passion, or heavy ignorance—comes entirely from my energy. While these states exist within me, I am not bound or contained by them.यह समझ लो कि प्रकृति के तीनों गुण—सत्व, रजस और तमस—मेरी ही शक्ति से पैदा होते हैं। ये सब मुझमें समाए हैं, लेकिन मैं इनमें बंधा हुआ नहीं हूँ।
- 7.13 त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत्The entire world is confused by these three shifting qualities of nature. Because of this illusion, people fail to see me, even though I am eternal and stand far above these temporary states.प्रकृति के इन तीन गुणों के फेर में उलझकर पूरी दुनिया भ्रम में पड़ी रहती है। इसी वजह से लोग मुझे नहीं पहचान पाते, जबकि मैं इन सबसे ऊपर हूँ और कभी नष्ट नहीं होता।
- 7.14 दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्ययाMy divine illusion, woven from the three qualities of nature, is incredibly difficult to break through. However, those who devote themselves entirely to me can easily cross over this illusion.प्रकृति के तीन गुणों से बनी मेरी इस माया को पार करना बहुत मुश्किल है। लेकिन जो लोग पूरी तरह से मुझ पर भरोसा करके मुझे अपना लेते हैं, वे इस मायाजाल से आसानी से बाहर निकल जाते हैं।
- 7.15 न मां दुष्कृतिनो मूढाः प्रपद्यन्ते नराधमाःPeople who are deeply misguided, cruel, or foolish do not seek me out. Their inner wisdom has been stolen by illusion, leading them to embrace a dark and destructive way of life.जो लोग बुरे काम करते हैं, क्रूर हैं या नासमझ हैं, वे मेरे पास नहीं आते। माया ने उनकी समझ छीन ली है, इसलिए वे एक बुरे और विनाशकारी रास्ते पर चलते हैं।
- 7.16 चतुर्विधा भजन्ते मां जनाः सुकृतिनोऽर्जुनArjuna, four types of good-hearted people turn to me. They are those who are suffering, those who are curious about the truth, those who want success in life, and those who are already wise.अर्जुन, चार तरह के अच्छे लोग मुझे याद करते हैं। पहले जो दुखी और परेशान हैं, दूसरे जो सच जानना चाहते हैं, तीसरे जिन्हें दुनिया में सफलता चाहिए, और चौथे वे जो पहले से ही ज्ञानी हैं।
- 7.17 तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्ितर्विशिष्यतेAmong all of them, the wise person who is constantly united with me in pure, single-minded devotion stands out as the best. I am incredibly dear to the wise, and they are just as dear to me.इन सबमें वह ज्ञानी सबसे श्रेष्ठ है, जो हमेशा सच्चे मन से सिर्फ मेरी ही भक्ति में लगा रहता है। ऐसे ज्ञानी को मैं बहुत प्यारा हूँ, और वह मुझे बहुत प्यारा है।
- 7.18 उदाराः सर्व एवैते ज्ञानी त्वात्मैव मे मतम्All of these seekers are wonderful, but I view the truly wise person as my own self. With a steady and focused mind, they have made me their ultimate home and highest goal.ये सभी भक्त बहुत अच्छे हैं, लेकिन सच्चे ज्ञानी को मैं अपना ही रूप मानता हूँ। अपने स्थिर मन से उसने मुझे ही अपना इकलौता घर और सबसे बड़ा लक्ष्य मान लिया है।
- 7.19 बहूनां जन्मनामन्ते ज्ञानवान्मां प्रपद्यतेAfter many lifetimes of spiritual growth, a truly wise person finally comes to me, realizing that the Divine is in absolutely everything. A great soul with this kind of vision is exceptionally rare.कई जन्मों तक सीखते रहने के बाद, एक सच्चा ज्ञानी मेरे पास आता है। वह यह समझ जाता है कि परमात्मा ही सब कुछ है, और ऐसी सोच वाला महान इंसान बहुत मुश्किल से मिलता है।
- 7.20 कामैस्तैस्तैर्हृतज्ञानाः प्रपद्यन्तेऽन्यदेवताःPeople whose judgment is clouded by worldly desires often turn to lesser gods for help. Driven by their own ingrained habits, they follow specific rituals hoping to get what they want.दुनिया की चीजों का लालच जिन लोगों की समझ को धुंधला कर देता है, वे अपनी इच्छा पूरी करने के लिए दूसरे देवी-देवताओं के पास जाते हैं। वे अपनी पुरानी आदतों के कारण अलग-अलग पूजा-पाठ और नियम अपनाते हैं।
- 7.21 यो यो यां यां तनुं भक्तः श्रद्धयार्चितुमिच्छतिWhenever a person chooses to worship any deity with genuine faith, I am the one who actually strengthens that faith. I make their devotion steady so they can pursue their chosen path.जब भी कोई इंसान किसी भी देवी-देवता की सच्चे मन से पूजा करना चाहता है, तो मैं ही उसके उस विश्वास को पक्का करता हूँ। मैं उसकी श्रद्धा को इतना मजबूत कर देता हूँ कि वह अपने चुने हुए रास्ते पर चल सके।
- 7.22 स तया श्रद्धया युक्तस्तस्याराधनमीहतेArmed with that steady faith, they worship their chosen deity and eventually get what they desire. In reality, though, I am the one secretly granting all those benefits.उसी पक्के विश्वास के साथ वह भक्त अपने चुने हुए देवता की पूजा करता है और अपनी मनचाही चीज पा लेता है। लेकिन सच तो यह है कि उसकी वे सारी इच्छाएं छुपकर मैं ही पूरी कर रहा होता हूँ।
- 7.23 अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्However, the rewards chased by people with limited understanding are only temporary. Those who worship lesser gods eventually go to them, but those who love me come directly to me.लेकिन कम समझ वाले लोगों को मिलने वाले ये फायदे कुछ ही समय के लिए होते हैं। जो दूसरे देवताओं को पूजते हैं, वे उन्हीं के पास जाते हैं, पर जो मुझसे प्यार करते हैं, वे सीधे मेरे पास आते हैं।
- 7.24 अव्यक्तं व्यक्ितमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयःPeople who lack deep understanding think that I was once invisible and have now just taken on a human form. They do not realize my true, higher nature, which is completely limitless and eternal.नासमझ लोग सोचते हैं कि मैं पहले निराकार था और अब एक इंसान के रूप में आ गया हूँ। वे मेरी असली और सबसे ऊँची सच्चाई को नहीं जानते, जो कभी खत्म नहीं होती और जिसकी कोई सीमा नहीं है।
- 7.25 नाहं प्रकाशः सर्वस्य योगमायासमावृतःI do not reveal myself to everyone, because I am hidden behind the curtain of my own divine illusion. This confused world simply does not recognize me as the unborn and indestructible reality.मैं हर किसी को अपने असली रूप में नहीं दिखता, क्योंकि मैं अपनी ही माया के परदे के पीछे छिपा रहता हूँ। यह नासमझ दुनिया मुझे पहचान नहीं पाती कि मैं कभी जन्म नहीं लेता और कभी नष्ट नहीं होता।
- 7.26 वेदाहं समतीतानि वर्तमानानि चार्जुनArjuna, I know every single creature that has existed in the past, everyone living right now, and all those who are yet to be born. Yet, hardly anyone truly knows me.अर्जुन, मैं उन सभी जीवों को जानता हूँ जो बीते हुए कल में थे, जो आज हैं, और जो आने वाले कल में जन्म लेंगे। लेकिन मुझे सच में कोई नहीं जानता।
- 7.27 इच्छाद्वेषसमुत्थेन द्वन्द्वमोहेन भारतArjuna, from the very moment of birth, all living beings fall into a deep confusion. This delusion is caused by the constant push and pull of wanting things and hating things.अर्जुन, जन्म लेने के साथ ही दुनिया के सभी जीव एक गहरे भ्रम में पड़ जाते हैं। यह भ्रम चीजों को पाने की चाहत और उनसे नफरत करने की उलझन से पैदा होता है।
- 7.28 येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम्But people who have lived good lives and cleared away their past mistakes break free from this illusion of opposites. With a clear and determined mind, they devote themselves entirely to me.लेकिन जिन लोगों ने अच्छे काम किए हैं और अपनी पुरानी गलतियों को मिटा दिया है, वे इस भ्रम से बाहर निकल आते हैं। ऐसे लोग साफ और पक्के मन से पूरी तरह मेरी ही भक्ति में लग जाते हैं।
- 7.29 जरामरणमोक्षाय मामाश्रित्य यतन्ति येThose who take shelter in me and work to break free from the cycle of aging and death discover the ultimate truth. They come to deeply understand the supreme spirit, their own inner self, and the true nature of all action.जो लोग बुढ़ापे और मौत के चक्कर से आज़ाद होने के लिए मुझ पर भरोसा करके कोशिश करते हैं, वे सबसे बड़े सच को जान लेते हैं। वे परमात्मा, अपनी आत्मा और कर्म के असली मतलब को गहराई से समझ जाते हैं।
- 7.30 साधिभूताधिदैवं मां साधियज्ञं च ये विदुःThose who realize that I am the underlying reality behind the physical world, the divine beings, and all spiritual offerings develop a perfectly steady mind. Because their awareness is locked on me, they remember me clearly even at the moment of death.जो लोग यह समझ जाते हैं कि इस दुनिया, सभी देवताओं और सारे यज्ञों के पीछे मैं ही हूँ, उनका मन एकदम शांत और पक्का हो जाता है। उनका ध्यान मुझ पर इतना टिका होता है कि मरते वक्त भी वे मुझे ही याद करते हैं।
