Meaning
Arjuna, I radiate heat like the sun, and I both withhold and release the rain. I am immortality as well as death; both what exists and what does not exist are rooted in me.
What it means for us today
God encompasses all opposites in nature, creation and destruction, life and death. Accepting that both the pleasant and unpleasant aspects of life come from the same divine source helps us face life's dualities with a calm mind.
