Meaning
By controlling the senses, mind, and intellect in this way, the sage becomes completely dedicated to ultimate freedom. Once they are entirely rid of desire, fear, and anger, they are liberated forever.
What it means for us today
True freedom comes from mastering one's own inner faculties rather than changing external circumstances. When we let go of intense cravings, fears, and anger, we experience a lasting state of peace and liberation.
