Meaning
When a self-controlled person mentally lets go of all actions, they live happily within the body, which is like a city with nine gates. They rest peacefully, neither acting nor forcing anyone else to act.
What it means for us today
The human body is compared to a city with nine openings. A wise person realizes they are the soul residing within this body, remaining peaceful and detached from the physical actions happening around them.
