Krishna saysश्री भगवान कहते हैं
दातव्यमिति यद्दानं दीयतेऽनुपकारिणे
देशे काले च पात्रे च तद्दानं सात्त्विकं स्मृतम्
dātavyamiti yaddānaṃ dīyate'nupakāriṇe
deśe kāle ca pātre ca taddānaṃ sāttvikaṃ smṛtam
Meaningअर्थ
True charity in the mode of goodness is given simply because it is the right thing to do, without expecting anything in return. It is offered at an appropriate time and place to someone who genuinely needs and deserves it.
जो दान बिना किसी स्वार्थ के, सिर्फ अपना फर्ज़ समझकर दिया जाता है, वह सात्त्विक होता है। ऐसा दान सही समय और सही जगह पर किसी ज़रूरतमंद और योग्य व्यक्ति को ही दिया जाता है।

दान देने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका निस्वार्थ भाव से देना है, यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि हमारी मदद सही समय पर सही व्यक्ति तक पहुंचे। सच्चा दान जिम्मेदारी का कार्य है, न कि व्यक्तिगत लाभ का लेन-देन।
