Krishna says
sadṛśaṃ ceṣṭate svasyāḥ prakṛterjñānavānapi
prakṛtiṃ yānti bhūtāni nigrahaḥ kiṃ kariṣyati
Meaning
"Even very wise people act according to their own underlying nature, because all creatures follow their natural tendencies. What good does it do to forcefully repress who you are?"
What it means for us today
We all have inherent traits and tendencies that cannot be simply suppressed by force. Instead of fighting our nature, we should channel our natural abilities toward positive and selfless goals.
