Krishna says

atha cainaṃ nityajātaṃ nityaṃ vā manyase mṛtam
tathāpi tvaṃ mahābāho naivaṃ śocitumarhasi

Meaning

Even if you believe that life is just an endless cycle of birth and death, you still have no reason to be so sad.

What it means for us today

Krishna argues from a practical standpoint: even if one believes life is just a cycle of natural birth and death without an eternal soul, death is still inevitable. Therefore, grieving over the unavoidable is pointless.
