Meaning

For anyone who is born, death is absolutely certain, and for anyone who dies, birth is sure to follow. Since this cycle is inevitable, you should not grieve over it.

What it means for us today

Krishna reminds Arjuna of the natural cycle of birth and death which applies to all physical bodies. Understanding that this cycle is unavoidable helps us accept life's transitions without excessive sorrow.
