Meaning
Arjuna, this supreme spirit has no beginning and is completely free from material qualities, making it imperishable. Even though it dwells inside a physical body, it never acts and is never stained by the body's actions.
What it means for us today
The soul is pure and eternal, completely untouched by the flaws and actions of the physical body. Knowing this helps us maintain inner purity and peace despite life's messy circumstances.
