Krishna saysश्री भगवान कहते हैं
श्री भगवानुवाचइदं शरीरं कौन्तेय क्षेत्रमित्यभिधीयते
एतद्यो वेत्ति तं प्राहुः क्षेत्रज्ञ इति तद्विदः
śrī bhagavānuvācaidaṃ śarīraṃ kaunteya kṣetramityabhidhīyate
etadyo vetti taṃ prāhuḥ kṣetrajña iti tadvidaḥ
Meaningअर्थ
Krishna said: Arjuna, this physical body is known as the 'field'. Those who truly understand this call the conscious awareness that experiences the body the 'knower of the field'.
अर्जुन, इस शरीर को 'क्षेत्र' कहा जाता है। जो इस शरीर को जानता और अनुभव करता है, उसे ज्ञानी लोग 'क्षेत्रज्ञ' कहते हैं।

Krishna begins by defining the body as a field where actions are sown and fruits are reaped. The conscious entity observing this body is the soul, distinct from the physical form.
कृष्ण शरीर को एक ऐसे क्षेत्र के रूप में परिभाषित करते हैं जहाँ कर्म बोए जाते हैं और फल काटे जाते हैं। इस शरीर को देखने वाली चेतन सत्ता आत्मा है, जो भौतिक रूप से अलग है।
