Meaning
I want to see you as you were before, wearing your crown and holding your mace and discus. Please hide this universal form with its thousand arms and show me your four-armed shape again.
What it means for us today
Arjuna longs for the familiar four-armed form of Vishnu, which represents divine majesty but is less terrifying than the limitless cosmic form. It highlights the human desire to relate to God in a beautiful, comprehensible way.
