Meaning

Such a person gives up all attachment to the results of their work, remaining deeply satisfied and independent. Even when they are fully engaged in busy activities, they are spiritually doing nothing at all.

What it means for us today

Inner freedom comes from letting go of the need for specific outcomes. A person can be highly active and productive in the world, yet remain completely peaceful and unburdened inside.
